Located in the heart of Northeast Ohio’s cultural landscape, students have the unique opportunity for a diverse musical education. Trombone students at The University of Akron have many performance opportunities including, band, symphony orchestra, jazz ensemble, new music ensemble, marching band, brass choir, trombone choir, and chamber groups. Additionally, the trombone studio hosts many internationally renowned guest artists and students have the opportunity to attend frequent performances by the Cleveland Orchestra. Joseph Alessi Concert!Come hear Joseph Alessi, principal trombone of the New York Philharmonic, perform with the University of Akron Symphonic Band and the Firestone High School Wind Ensemble on Monday, February 27th at 7:30pm at Firestone High School!
